TERS APPLICATIONS FOR AUGUST/SEPTEMBER ARE OPEN

TERS applications for the period of 16 August 2020 to 15 September 2020 are open: https://uifecc.labour.gov.za/covid19/

This period’s benefit is limited to employees of employers:

- are not permitted to operate either fully or partially operate due to lockdown regulations; and/or
- cannot implement special measures for vulnerable employees, or are unable to make alternative arrangements for them to work from home; and/or
- are unable to use employees, either fully or partially, because of operational requirements

Applications for this period will close on 30 October 2020.

Reduced salary and wages CAN claim the extended TERS benefits ( 01 July 2020 - 15 August 2020)

If employees are experiencing a temporary pay cut, regardless of the hours they are working, the employers can claim for TERS for the period ending 15 August 2020

Previously, a few days ago, the extended TERS was limited to:

- employers not permitted to commence operations under the Disaster Management Regulations;
